NDLEA Nabs Man with 1,499 Bottles of Codeine Syrup in Kano

NDLEA operatives in Kano have arrested a 45-year-old man, Ashiru Bala, for allegedly possessing 1,499 bottles of codeine-based cough syrup transported from Abuja for illegal distribution. The arrest followed an intelligence-led operation under the agency’s ongoing “Operation Ramadan Mubarak.”
